Curcumin and Cholesterol

A new study was published in June, 2019 which looks at the effect of curcumin supplementation on cholesterol levels.

A new study was published in June, 2019 which was a meta-analysis of 14 randomized, controlled trials with 1200 participants (meaning this is some good science, not just clinical experience) and looked at the the effect of curcumin on cholesterol levels in people with insulin resistance. Triglycerides, total cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol levels all DECREASED after 4 weeks of taking curcumin.  Struggling with high cholesterol but can’t (or won’t) take prescription statins?  This might be an option…
